Who we are
Beena AI Hub is operated by Demingway. Demingway is the data controller for personal data processed through this site.
What we collect and why
- Account data (name, email address, sign-in credentials or Google sign-in identifier) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Profile data you choose to add (headline, organisation, location, interests, goals, devices) — to personalise your feed and, where you ask for it, to suggest collaborators. Legal basis: contract and consent.
- Health pilot application data, where you apply — to assess and run the pilot. This can include health-related information; we only collect what you submit voluntarily and process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw.
- Usage data (items opened, saved, hidden, filters used, device type, IP address, approximate location) — to rank the feed, keep the service secure and improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages — to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Subscription status (plan, status, renewal date) — to give you access to paid features. Legal basis: contract.
Feed preferences set without an account are stored only in your browser, not on our servers.
Who we share data with
- Service providers who host our database, authentication and infrastructure;
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sale of paid plans, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing;
- Professional advisers such as legal and accounting;
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Account and profile data are kept while your account is open and for up to 12 months afterwards. Pilot application data is kept for the duration of the pilot and up to 24 months afterwards. Usage logs are kept for up to 24 months. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. After that data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. We respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you can also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database rules, so that people can only reach their own records.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your feed preferences and your saved items. Our payment provider sets cookies needed for checkout. You can clear or block these in your browser; essential ones are required for the service to work.
